Future Metals (ASX: FME) Managing Director and CEO Keith Bowes says the company is comparing a standalone development at Panton with the potential use of the nearby Savannah processing facility.
Speaking with James Whelan on 6 November 2026, Bowes outlined the updated Panton resource model, the role of infill drilling and the company’s regional copper exploration. The July Mineral Resource is 82.3 million tonnes, comprising 40.0Mt Indicated and 42.3Mt Inferred. Mineral Resources are not Ore Reserves and do not have demonstrated economic viability.
The updated Scoping Study formally commenced on 4 August 2026. At the time of recording, Bowes expected results by the end of November. Any Savannah acquisition or processing arrangement remains subject to technical studies and definitive agreements with owner Zeta Resources; potential cost and timing benefits are not assured.
The company is also assessing copper exploration opportunities at the Alice Downs Corridor and Eileen Bore. Eileen Bore’s Exploration Target is conceptual rather than a Mineral Resource, and further exploration may not establish a resource.
Management was planning Panton infill drilling for around March or April 2027, subject to the wet season and weather. Future drilling and study milestones remain conditional.
