Xpedra Resources Extends Shallow Gold System with RC Drilling at Springfield

Key points

  • Xpedra extends Springfield shallow RC.

  • 52m@1.35g/t(20m, maiden RC); 11m@3.03g/t(39m, incl 4m@5.69).

  • Open at depth to west; 1.7km strike; next drill in June.

Xpedra Resources (ASX: XPD) has reported further wide and shallow gold intersections from its maiden reverse circulation (RC) drilling program at the Springfield gold deposit in New South Wales.

The latest assays from three drill holes reinforce the company’s view that Springfield could host a substantial near-surface gold system within a mineralised intrusion extending over more than 1.7 kilometres of strike.

The strongest new result returned 52 metres at 1.35 grams per tonne gold from 20m, with an 11m section at 3.03g/t gold from 39m, including 4m at 5.69g/t gold from the same depth.

A second hole returned 25m at 1.23g/t gold from 42m, including 2m at 3.30g/t gold from 54m, while a shallower hole drilled on the same section line returned 24m at 1.03g/t gold from surface, including 7m at 2.06g/t gold from surface.

The three holes follow the first two results from Xpedra’s maiden program, which included 36m at 1.84g/t gold from 19m, including 13m at 3.10g/t gold from 20m.

Extended Gold Mineralisation

Xpedra completed 27 holes in the maiden RC program to test and extend known gold mineralisation, and begin assessing new targets along the Springfield corridor.

The company has now received assays for five holes, all of which have intersected broad zones of shallow mineralisation, with higher-grade intervals occurring within structurally controlled quartz vein zones.

Results from the remaining holes expected progressively over coming weeks.

The early drilling has confirmed mineralisation from surface across multiple holes and has provided further targeting information for extensions of the higher-grade quartz vein zones.

The system remains open at depth to the west, with previous deeper testing limited to only about 500m of the more than 1.7km mineralised intrusion.

Project Confidence Reinforced

“Results from the latest three drill holes continue to reinforce our confidence in the scale and continuity of the Springfield gold deposit,” managing director Scott Funston said.

“Preparations are already well advanced for our next drilling program in June, which is designed to continue testing the continuity and broader extent of mineralisation across the deposit.”

Xpedra acquired a 100% interest in Springfield in November 2025 after historical shallow drilling and mapping had outlined a well-mineralised intrusion with only 6,568m of previous drilling.

Historical results include 27m at 3.65g/t gold from surface, 86m at 1.04g/t gold from 104m, 65m at 1.16g/t gold from 2m and 41m at 1.47g/t gold from 22m.

The project had not been drilled since 1999 before Xpedra began its maiden program in March 2026.
