Torque Metals Looking to Increase Paris Resource After High-Grade Gold Hits at HHH Deposit

Torque Metals (ASX: TOR) has achieved early success, hitting high-grade gold in maiden drilling at the HHH deposit within the large Paris gold camp located between Kalgoorlie and Norseman in Western Australia’s Goldfields region.

The first extension hole located just north of the Paris deposit has intersected 5.0m of gold mineralisation at 15.2 grams per tonne from 149m within 16m at 5.0g/t.

Torque has now completed four step-out reverse circulation holes at HHH to serve both as mineralisation tests and downhole electromagnetic (DHEM) platforms to map potential conductive sulphide zones beyond the existent mineral resource estimate (MRE).

Shared Structural Corridor

The HHH gold deposit has a current MRE of approximately 73,000 ounces of gold, and lies within the same structural corridor as Torque’s Paris deposits, where its initial focus has been across 4km of strike.

The recent drilling at HHH has shown the continuous presence of shallow, high-grade gold mineralisation, while at the same time reinforcing the potential for near-surface extensions that remain largely untested.

It has also extended the mineralisation to the north and west of the current MRE.

Cashed up with $4.1 million on hand, Torque is preparing to commence the DHEM surveys next week, along with resource extension drilling.

Model Success Confirmed

“The results at HHH […] confirm that our structural and geochemical models are successfully guiding drilling into mineralised systems analogous to Paris,” managing director Cristian Moreno said.

"The presence of strong sulphide-associated quartz veining is extremely encouraging, [and] has led to the definition of over 1,000m in strike extensions to the mineralisation at the Paris deposit—only 800m to the south of HHH.”

Being a shallow target with the deepest hole intersecting high grade gold at only 115m, Torque belives there is a lot of scope to expand resources at HHH.

“As we initiate DHEM data acquisition, we expect to identify new conductor plates and drill-ready targets—this work will extend the proven Paris DHEM methodology across the broader gold camp, accelerating our understanding of this highly prospective mineralised corridor,” Mr Moreno added.
