Tivan Identifies Ultra High-Grade Fluorite At Molyhil Tungsten-Molybdenum Project

Critical minerals company ++Tivan (ASX: TVN)++ has identified ultra high-grade fluorite mineralisation across outcropping fluorite reefs at the ++recently acquired Molyhil tungsten-molybdenum project++ in the Northern Territory.

A field reconnaissance and sampling program the company completed last month confirmed three outcropping fluorite reefs over 2.5 kilometres of strike length with mineralisation observed along strike from historical mapping of the ultra high-grade veins.

Assays from 13 rock chip samples sourced across existing locations as well as the new mineralised veins returned grades of up to 85.9% calcium fluoride, with four samples returning above 50%.

Jinka Granite Host Veins

The results confirm that fluorite mineralisation exists in Molyhil’s vein system, hosted in the Jinka Granite on the western side of the Eula Range sedimentary package.

They add to extensive surface mineralisation Tivan announced from maiden drilling targeting ultra high-grade fluorite veins at the adjoining Sandover project, where the company this week discovered a ++manganese-barite gossan++ at the Walshy’s Wall prospect.

Tivan is planning further field work at Molyhil to define the extent of fluorite mineralisation and assist the definition of drilling targets for a campaign in the new year.

It will also conduct additional rock chip sampling to expand the company’s understanding of Molyhil’s vein systems.

Extended Exploration Opportunity

Executive chair Grant Wilson said the sampling results presented Tivan with an opportunity to extend its exploration planning for the discovery of fluorite deposits across Molyhil and Sandover.

“These results add a further dimension to our plans to progress a high-value critical minerals precinct in central Australia in collaboration with Sumitomo Corporation,” he said.

“Our team is currently redeploying from the Speewah project in Western Australia to Sandover and we are looking forward to the start of drilling later this month.”

Tivan took possession of the Speewah vanadium-titanium-iron project in 2023 as part of its ++$20 million acquisition of Speewah Mining++ from ++King River Resources (ASX: KRR)++.
