- 01WooBoard CARE: first build for veteran health search.
- 02Veterans free; providers subscribe for listings.
- 03Phase 1: physio/psych in GC, Brisbane, Ipswich.
Thrive Tribe Technologies (ASX: 1TT) has started the first substantive build of WooBoard CARE, a platform designed to help Australian veterans identify allied health providers that accept Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA) veteran cards and are taking new clients.
The initial rollout will focus on physiotherapy and psychology providers across the Gold Coast, Brisbane, and Ipswich, with any extension to other disciplines or regions dependent on the outcome of the first phase.
Veterans are intended to access the service free of charge, while participating providers would pay a subscription to maintain a verified listing covering location, discipline, card acceptance, new-client availability, and direct contact details.
The build advances CARE from the broader Defence Wellbeing & Readiness Suite roadmap into a defined product implementation, while the other proposed modules remain part of a development roadmap rather than a completed defence product.
Direct Practice Contact
WooBoard CARE is being developed around a straightforward search process that allows a veteran to select a discipline and location, review current provider information, and then contact the practice directly.
Each participating listing is intended to show when its information was last confirmed, helping users see how current the displayed details are before making an enquiry.
Verification relates only to the information shown in the listing and does not represent government approval, clinical accreditation, or an assessment of treatment quality, while provider availability may change after confirmation.
The service is intended to assist veterans with navigating existing providers rather than guarantee an appointment or determine treatment entitlements.
Commercialisation Model
Thrive Tribe plans to place the subscription relationship with allied health providers while preserving free access for veterans, creating a potential recurring revenue stream subject to participation, agreed commercial terms, and successful delivery.
Participating providers would not be able to buy search ranking, preferred placement or priority, with the intended value proposition instead centred on maintaining accurate information for veterans seeking relevant services.
Current work combines platform development, provider-information confirmation, and preparation of the commercial offering, with subscription terms and launch arrangements still to be finalised.
The company will assess the outcome of the initial implementation before deciding whether to add further disciplines or regions, with no commitment yet to a national rollout or expansion timetable.
Veteran Care Need
The Royal Commission into Defence and Veteran Suicide identified issues in access to health care, calling for stronger and better connected healthcare services for veterans, including better information about available services.
DVA guidance also encourages card holders to confirm with a provider before making an appointment that their card will be accepted as full payment, aligning with CARE's focus on making that information easier to identify in advance.
DVA's December 2025 treatment population figures recorded 302,030 Gold and White card holders, including eligible dependants, with 98,318 of the total in Queensland.
Thrive Tribe is positioning CARE within its wider modernisation and commercial redeployment of WooBoard, which is being developed beyond employee recognition into a broader workforce engagement, wellbeing, and readiness platform.
