Small Caps is pleased to confirm it will be attending the Australian Gold Conference 2026 (AGC26) as official media partner, with the event running 13–15 October at Crown Towers Sydney's Pearl Ballroom.
Now in its 15th year, AGC has grown into the country's largest dedicated gold investment event, and this year is shaping up to be no exception — organisers are expecting more than 1,500 attendees and upwards of 40 exhibitors, spanning ASX-listed gold and precious metals producers, developers and explorers, alongside fund managers, bullion dealers, and advisers.
The timing could hardly be better. Gold has had an extraordinary 2026 — a run to an all-time high above $5,500/oz in January, a sharp correction of roughly 27% into the middle of the year, and a steady rebuild back through $4,300–$4,400/oz in recent weeks, even as the US Federal Reserve delivered its first rate hike since 2023.
That's precisely the kind of "why gold, why now" conversation AGC has built its reputation on.
The conference is the brainchild of Kerry Stevenson, Founder and CEO of Gold Events, who has spent more than a decade and a half turning what could easily be a string of dry keynotes into genuine long-form conversations with the people driving the sector.
Confirmed speakers include John Forwood, CIO of Lowell Resources Fund, and Jordan Elieso, General Manager of ABC Bullion.
The full program can be viewed here.
SmallCaps will be on the ground across all three days, covering the presentations and speaking directly with company directors and fund managers about where they see the gold cycle heading from here.
Why it's Worth Being in the Room
For investors, advisers, and companies alike, AGC has become one of the few events where the entire gold ecosystem — miners, developers, bullion providers, fund managers, and self-directed investors — shows up under one roof at the same time.
A number of the ASX small caps that regularly feature on Small Caps have exhibited or presented at past events, and with gold holding above $4,300/oz despite a hiking rather than a cutting Fed, the appetite for direct access to management teams and analysts is unlikely to be in short supply.
