Redstone Resources (ASX: RDS) is preparing a new round of exploration across its Western Australian gold and critical minerals portfolio after using the September quarter to prioritise targets and assess access requirements.

The company plans initial reconnaissance and sampling at Rudall East and Cockatoo Rocks during the December 2026 and March 2027 quarters.

It has already obtained program of work approvals for drilling at the Mt Cauden gold-lithium and Twin Hills gold projects, although environmental requirements are still being assessed.

At its established West Musgrave copper project, a proposed 3,300-metre reverse circulation drilling program has shifted to the March 2027 quarter.

New Targets Across WA

The recently acquired project portfolio gives Redstone exposure to gold, lithium, copper, and base metals across several established mineral districts.

At Rudall East in the East Pilbara, desktop assessment and native title work are informing proposed soil and rock-chip sampling across identified electromagnetic anomalies, with historical exploration intersecting sulphide mineralisation about seven kilometres east of the project.

At Cockatoo Rocks, northeast of Kalgoorlie, the company is reviewing historical drilling and access obligations ahead of sampling for lithium-caesium-tantalum pegmatite targets.

The work remains early-stage, with laboratory assays required to establish whether any pegmatites encountered contain lithium mineralisation.

Mt Cauden Reconnaissance

Preliminary reconnaissance at Mt Cauden near Southern Cross assessed accessibility, exposed geology, surface cover and potential sampling material.

Drone-based three-dimensional photogrammetry was used where ground traverses were impractical, complementing preparations for an approved first-pass RC program.

The Mt Cauden approvals also cover an optional aircore program to investigate geology beneath cover on the eastern side of the project.

At Twin Hills in the Menzies district, Redstone holds approval for initial RC gold drilling and is reviewing environmental management requirements before proceeding.

Together, the two projects provide identified drill targets, but the timing of actual field programs remains dependent on further preparatory work.

West Musgrave Drilling

The planned West Musgrave RC campaign will test magnetic targets northeast of the Tollu copper deposit, including EM5, East and West Cigar, and Hiding Maggie.

An Exploration Incentive Scheme co-funded drilling grant could contribute up to $230,000 towards that program.

Redstone is separately reviewing historical data and native title requirements at the 330km² Saturn project, where previous limited work identified prospective reef and sulphide targets.

The company ended September with $391,000 cash, down from $557,000 at the start of the quarter, after $92,000 in net operating outflows and $72,000 in investing outflows.

Its quarterly cash-flow figures indicate approximately 2.5 quarters of funding at the reported spending rate, while no substantive on-ground exploration was completed during the period.
