- 01RC drilling starts at Blue Dick, Excelsior Springs, NV.

- 03MRE for Buster this quarter; Imperial/ Railroad next.
Mammoth Minerals (ASX: M79) has started reverse circulation (RC) drilling at the Excelsior Springs Project in Nevada to test a pipeline of silver and gold targets led by the Blue Dick prospect.
The primary campaign will provide the first modern drilling across Blue Dick, targeting extensions to high-grade mineralisation mapped over more than 6.5 kilometres of cumulative surface strike.
Recent channel sampling returned a standout 0.20m at 17,582 grams per tonne silver, 0.75g/t gold, 2.76% copper, and 1.72% antimony, while rock-chip sampling produced grades of up to 15,336g/t silver and 7.46g/t gold.
The program will also test geophysical targets along the Buster Trend before moving to the Imperial prospect and Railroad Springs, with a maiden mineral resource estimate (MRE) for Buster expected later this quarter.
Blue Dick Takes Priority
Blue Dick hosts multiple high-grade silver and gold trends not previously drilled or assessed using modern exploration techniques, despite the presence of historical underground workings.
Mammoth plans to test the mineralisation along strike and down-dip, including structures that could not be mapped or sampled because of shallow surface cover.
Surface work has defined several trends across the prospect, with further rock-chip results including 3,945g/t silver and 14.4g/t gold, as well as 1,134g/t silver, 0.73g/t gold, 2.77% copper, and 1.9% antimony.
The company will initially complete a shorter program along the Buster Trend, where geophysical surveys have identified potential deep feeder faults interpreted as pathways for mineralised fluids.
These targets sit more than 700m along strike from an area that has received more than 21km of drilling for gold mineralisation.
Imperial and Railroad Springs
Later drilling at the Imperial prospect will follow up historical gold intercepts adjacent to and along strike from the mined Imperial shear zone.
These included 28.96m at 2.23g/t gold from 3.05m and 13.72m at 4.74g/t gold from 30.48m.
The rig is then expected to move into nearby Railroad Springs, where surface sampling across historical workings has returned consistent silver values supported by gold, lead, zinc, and antimony.
Standout Railroad Springs samples reached 1,631g/t silver with 0.3g/t gold, and 1,352g/t silver with 0.3g/t gold, advancing the area to a drill-ready target.
Mammoth expects the combined campaign to generate a steady flow of assays while progressing the Buster MRE and expanding the wider Excelsior Springs target pipeline.
‘Rapidly Developing Pipeline’
“We are delighted to now have drilling underway at Excelsior to test the rapidly developing pipeline of targets identified by recent field sampling and exploration programs,” managing director Glenn Poole said.
“The bonanza-type grades we are seeing in surface samples at Blue Dick are strong indicators of a metal-rich system, with Mammoth’s maiden drilling program aiming to extend the mineralisation along strike and down-dip, unlocking the true potential of the more than 6.5km of prospective strike we have mapped.”
“Later in the program, the rig will also follow up on historical high-grade results surrounding the Imperial Mine zone – an area with drill-proven grade and past gold production – and step out into the nearby Railroad Springs target defined by high-grade silver results in recent sampling.”
“The pipeline of walk-up drill targets identified across the wider Excelsior Springs project is hugely exciting, and with RC drilling now underway we look forward to delivering a steady stream of assay results along with a maiden MRE for Buster later this quarter.”
