Golden Globe Resources (ASX: GGR) has confirmed copper-gold mineralisation at both the Northern Gold and Eastern Breccia prospects through Phase 1 diamond drilling program at its Dooloo Creek project in Queensland.
High-grade skarn mineralisation at Northern Gold and broad mineralised breccia intervals at Eastern Breccia supported the explorer’s model for a larger intrusion-related hydrothermal system.
Drilling established a strong correlation between copper-gold mineralisation, magnetic inversion modelling, induced polarisation (IP) anomalies, and surface geochemistry, increasing confidence in the remaining targets across the project.
Golden Globe started Phase 2 drilling during the quarter to test deeper extensions of the Eastern Breccia system and follow up the higher-grade Northern Gold mineralisation.
Northern Skarn Confirms Target
The first Northern Gold hole intersected a magnetite-actinolite skarn sequence associated with the Dooloo Diggings Fault, a regional structure interpreted as an important control on mineralisation.
The standout result was 7.38 metres at 0.55% copper and 0.46 grams per tonne gold from 53.62m, including 1m at 2.74% copper and 2.6g/t gold.
A separate 2.18m interval returned 1.66% copper and 1.67g/t gold with 0.31% bismuth, reinforcing the relationship between higher grades and sulphide-rich skarn zones.
Golden Globe identified extensive chlorite alteration, pyrite-bearing intervals, and rhyolite dykes as further indicators of intrusion-related mineralisation, supporting follow-up work down-dip and west of the fault.
Breccia System Scale
At Eastern Breccia, drilling tested a large magnetic inversion body coinciding with strong IP responses and anomalous gold, bismuth, and molybdenum at surface.
The hole encountered chlorite alteration and sulphide mineralisation from about 46m to its final depth of 498.4m, including three distinct breccia zones that confirmed an extensive hydrothermal system.
The principal interval returned 45.55m at 0.07% copper and 0.43g/t gold from 92m, including 6m at 0.28% copper and 2.18g/t gold and a narrower 0.61m zone at 0.47% copper and 6.5g/t gold.
A deeper 10m interval graded 0.22% copper and 0.33g/t gold, while alteration patterns and increasing copper and bismuth values led Golden Globe to interpret the drilling as an upper expression of mineralisation sourced from depth.
Deeper Source Drilling
Phase 2 hole EB002 is targeting the interpreted deeper part of the Eastern Breccia system beneath the broad intervals returned in the first hole.
The drilling is designed to test whether the breccia bodies become more focused and whether mineralisation strengthens closer to the interpreted intrusive source.
A further diamond hole was planned at Northern Gold to assess the extent of the high-grade skarn while testing the centre of the magnetic anomaly and the interpreted intrusion west of the Dooloo Diggings Fault.
Results from Phase 2 will refine the geological model and help Golden Globe assess the scale and higher-grade potential of the broader Dooloo Creek system.
End-Quarter Financials
Golden Globe finished the quarter with approximately $3.5 million in cash after recording $1.23m in exploration and evaluation payments during the period.
Since listing in October 2025, the explorer has spent $1.49m of the $3.66m allocated to Dooloo Creek under its use-of-funds plan, leaving $2.17m available for the project.
The quarter-end cash position represented an estimated 2.07 quarters of funding based on combined operating and exploration outgoings of $1.72m.
Golden Globe retains 100% ownership of its Queensland tenements and can earn up to 90% of the Neila Creek Project in New South Wales.
