Golden Globe Resources Commences Diamond Drilling at Dooloo Creek’s Northern Gold Prospect

Golden Globe Resources (ASX: GGR) has commenced diamond drilling at the Northern Gold prospect within its Dooloo Creek gold-copper project in Queensland, with drill contractor Central Deep Hole Drilling starting operations last week.

The first phase program will include approximately 4,000 metres of drilling, roughly split equally between diamond core and reverse circulation drilling.

The company projects the core drilling phase will require approximately two months to complete, with exploration benefiting from approximately 9,100m of previous drilling across 57 holes.

Golden Globe has developed a new targeting model partly based on sampling altered intrusives, key structures and skarns that yielded gold assays such as 28.8 grams per tonne at Northern Gold, 51.7g/t at Eastern Breccia, 39.5g/t at Silver Plain, and 43.9g/t at True Blue.

Targeting High-Grade Zones

The drilling database includes approximately 4,000m of previous drilling, with most historical holes encountering gold and copper anomalies including strong grades over significant widths such as 16m at 1.32g/t gold and 6m at 4.24g/t gold.

The copper and gold showings seem to be controlled by an important junction of throughgoing northwesterly striking arc-related fabric with younger northeast oriented structures.

Golden Globe geologists have identified high-grade gold and copper in rock chip samples associated with diorite intrusives and skarns, and have selected four targets to test during the current drill program.

While the company believes the Northern Gold target has not seen previous drilling, portions of the 2025-2026 drill program will return to offset or vector from encouraging drill intercepts in earlier programs.

Strategic New England Orogen Location

Dooloo Creek encompasses approximately 78 square kilometres in the Devonian- to Jurassic-aged rocks of the New England Orogen, 30km north of Monto in southeast Queensland.

The property has seen significant exploration by previous workers, resulting in widespread geochemical anomalies in rocks and soils alongside significant geophysical anomalies that managing director Colin McMillan said warrant a fresh interpretation and more drilling metres.

"This is exactly our plan, as we test a new model that should better explain the high grades and geochemical zonation we have observed across the project," he said.

Dooloo Creek is at an important geological address, and we believe unraveling the structural complexity and coincidental geochemical and geophysical anomalies will accelerate the project’s growth.”
