EV Resources has officially changed its name to Antimony Resources Limited, with the company's securities having commenced trading on the ASX under the ticker symbol ANT on 21 September 2026.

The corporate repositioning follows shareholder approval at a General Meeting on 2 September 2026 and formal registration with the Australian Securities and Investments Commission.

As part of the structural update, the company completed a capital consolidation to streamline its capital structure, while launching a new corporate website to reflect its refined market identity. Existing option listings were also updated under the new ANTO and ANTOA codes.

According to the company, the rebrand reflects its focused transition toward advancing antimony processing and development projects across North America and Mexico.

Core Strategy Alignment

Executive chair Shane Menere stated that the name change represents an important operational milestone for the business.

The company stated that its corporate identity now directly mirrors its core objective: developing critical mineral assets to meet rising global demand for strategic metals.

The company's primary focus centres on a processing-led model, underpinned by its operational infrastructure in Mexico and exploration ground in North America.

Key operational assets include:

  • Tecomatlán Processing Plant (Mexico): A regional processing facility where proof-of-concept campaigns are underway, aiming to produce commercial-grade antimony concentrate.
  • Chinantla Antimony Project (Mexico): Providing raw ore feed for processing operations at Tecomatlán, including recently crushed batch testwork supporting operational evaluations.
  • Los Lirios Project (Mexico): An antimony exploration asset where structural mapping and feeder vein exploration continue to expand target zones.
  • Nevada Antimony Assets (USA): Strategic exploration ground, including the Dollar Antimony Project, offering exposure to the United States critical minerals market.

Strategic Role of Antimony

The strategic emphasis on antimony comes against a backdrop of tight global supply and increasing policy focus on critical minerals supply chain security.

Antimony is classified as a critical mineral by multiple international jurisdictions, including Australia, the US, and the European Union. The industrial metal plays an important role across several high-value sectors:

  • Defence and Aerospace: Used in military munitions, night-vision equipment, infrared sensors, and hardened alloys.
  • Energy Storage & Technology: Applied in high-capacity liquid metal batteries, solar cell glass coatings, and semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Industrial Applications: Functions as a primary flame retardant additive in plastics, textiles, and electronics, as well as a strengthening agent in lead-acid batteries.

With global supply heavily concentrated in limited jurisdictions, Western governments and industrial end-users are increasingly seeking diversified, secure supply chains for critical input materials.

Operational Progress

Antimony Resources has reported ongoing progress across its Mexican assets, where proof-of-concept processing campaigns at Tecomatlán are designed to evaluate recovery performance and concentrate grades.

In recent metallurgical testwork, the company reported an 81.1% recovery rate and produced a concentrate grading approximately 42.4% antimony, alongside initial batch crushing of high-grade ore.

The company indicated that data gathered from these preliminary campaigns will assist in assessing the feasibility of scaling up operations toward potential commercial production and third-party feed processing.
