- 01Xerabrid and Airspeeder battery deals advance.
- 02Ultranode 70: 500 cycles, 70% retention.
- 03Diagnostics pipeline grows; cash: A$11m.
AnteoTech (ASX: ADO) has expanded its battery materials partnerships and diagnostics customer pipeline as it works to convert technical evaluations into commercial sales.
The September quarter brought a binding collaboration with Xerabrid Corporation, a battery prototyping agreement with Airspeeder, and broader testing of its performance additives.
Its Life Sciences business progressed a major diagnostic development collaboration and introduced new AnteoBind NXT products to prospective customers in the US.
The Brisbane-based materials specialist finished September with A$11.0m in cash, supported by a research and development tax incentive payment received during the quarter.
Customer cash receipts totalled A$200,134 and the A$1.9 million tax incentive helped limit quarterly net operating cash outflow to A$27,932, while cash included A$5.5m on term deposit.
Prospective Battery Customers
Under its Xerabrid collaboration, AnteoTech is combining Anteo S with ceramic-coated separator technology for joint development, marketing, and potential commercial supply.
Seven prospective customers have sought separator samples, including requests covering up to 1,000 metres of roll-to-roll manufactured material, with initial deliveries expected before year-end.
The partners have begun developing an ultra-thin separator targeting approximately seven micrometres in total thickness, while a separate customer received 40 litres of Anteo S for pilot-scale trials.
Anteo C customer evaluations advanced in Asia, including cumulative deliveries of 45L to one customer, while a US electronics manufacturer requested indicative pricing for 30L of SiMRAX.
Testing of SiMRAX in lithium-sulphur cathodes showed comparable or improved coating quality and stronger capacity retention against control formulations, prompting requests for further scale-up samples.
Cell Programs Gain Ground
AnteoTech assembled, formed, and tested its first Ultranode 95 cylindrical cells at the Battery Innovation Centre in Indiana, with further work focused on optimising performance.
Two potential joint development agreements with battery manufacturers targeting US defence and drone applications remain under negotiation following the supply of samples for evaluation.
A separate agreement gives AnteoTech exclusive responsibility for supplying battery designs and prototypes incorporating Ultranode 95 to Airspeeder Team Australia for electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft.
In another technical milestone, Ultranode 70 met an agreed performance target in commercial-format cells tested by Wyon AG, completing 500 charge cycles at 70% capacity retention.
The result has opened further discussions about medical device and miniature consumer battery applications, although no specific end customer has yet been identified.
Multiple Diagnostics Leads
The Life Sciences division supplied A$134,138 of AnteoBind to the Serum Institute of India under its five-year take-or-pay agreement, with another order expected before the end of 2026.
Its collaborative chemiluminescent immunoassay (CLIA) development program with a global life sciences company completed an initial stage on schedule and moved into further agreed work.
The introduction of AnteoBind NXT CLIA Kits and prototype activated enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay plates at a US diagnostics conference tripled the division’s pipeline by lead count.
“Customer interest across both businesses continues to grow, with more samples under evaluation and commercial sales discussions underway,” managing director Merrill Gray said.
“Our focus remains on supplying samples for evaluation, supporting customer testing, and converting evaluations into sales through the December 2026 quarter and beyond.”
