Alligator Energy (ASX: AGE) has extended uranium mineralisation about 600 metres south of previous drilling at the Blackbush deposit within its Samphire uranium project.

Recorded on the recently accessible Mullaquana Crown Lease, the new intersections expand the area available for systematic evaluation beyond the known deposit footprint.

The work forms part of an approximately 300-hole drilling program targeting the Blackbush southern extension, the underexplored 5km Blackbush-Plumbush corridor, and infill drilling at Plumbush.

Alligator has also completed another 108 delineation holes within the existing Blackbush mineral resource area to strengthen technical confidence for detailed mine planning under the Samphire feasibility study.

Southern Extension Takes Shape

Drilling south of Blackbush mapped uranium mineralisation across the Mullaquana land while further defining the western extent of the paleochannel boundary.

The four highlighted intersections ranged from 2.4m to 5.0m at grades of 0.11% to 0.20% equivalent uranium grade (eU3O8), with the strongest grade recorded over 2.4m from a depth of 61.0m.

Another standout interval returned 5.0m at 0.13% eU3O8 from 63.6m, while the southernmost highlighted result delivered 4.3m at 0.11% eU3O8 from 56.0m.

“These early results are an encouraging start to our Samphire growth program and demonstrate the strategic importance of securing access to the Mullaquana Crown Lease,” chief executive officer Andrea Marsland-Smith said.

“The team has moved quickly from securing access to having two rigs operating to advance this program at pace.”

Closer-Spaced Drilling

Infill drilling has started at Plumbush for the first time since 2011, with Alligator seeking to reduce existing drill spacing from about 200m to 400m to between 25m and 50m.

The closer-spaced work is intended to support potential conversion of the current Inferred mineral resource to the Indicated category and allow Plumbush to be considered for inclusion in the Samphire feasibility study.

Testing will progressively extend into the corridor between Blackbush and Plumbush, linking resource conversion work with a broader assessment of the prospective channel system.

At Blackbush, the 108 completed delineation holes drilled at spacing as close as 25m by 25m have produced results consistent with the current mineral resource model.

Updated Resource Work

The new Blackbush information will feed into a mineral resource estimate (MRE) update anticipated in the first or second quarter of 2027.

Alligator expects the additional data to support evaluation of well-field layouts across the mining areas being considered in the Samphire feasibility study.

Two rigs are operating on continuous day shifts and drilling is planned to continue until late in the fourth quarter of 2026, with the broader program scheduled for completion during that quarter.

The ongoing work will integrate drilling, geological, and geophysical data into the MRE update while advancing mine planning, approvals, and other feasibility workstreams.
