Acusensus (ASX: ACE) has announced a significant expansion of its Western Australia enforcement contract, doubling its fleet of enforcement units and extending the partnership until at least October 2028, adding approximately $13 million in incremental revenue.
The company is set to add six new trailer units to its Western Australia fleet, doubling the total number of contracted units to 12.
The agreement also includes an extension, securing the partnership with the WA Road Safety Commission until at least October 2028.
The new trailers will be rolled out progressively between July and September 2026.
$13 Million Incremental Revenue Secured
This contract variation and extension are projected to generate approximately $13 million in incremental revenue, excluding GST.
This further solidifies Acusensus's ongoing collaboration with the WA Road Safety Commission.
The company has emphasised that this fleet expansion and extended partnership will lead to enhanced road-safety outcomes across the state.
In its FY25 annual report, Acusensus reported revenue of $59.35 million, representing a 19.6% increase year-on-year. Despite growth, the company recorded a net loss of $2.624 million for the period.
The company maintained a strong financial position, holding $21.5 million in cash reserves with no debt at the close of FY25.
International expansion was a strategic focus, with notable contract successes in New Zealand, the United States, and the United Kingdom.
Context: Recent Funding and Litigation
To support its growth ambitions, Acusensus completed a $30 million equity placement in December 2025.
This was complemented by a new debt facility secured with Citibank.
Additionally, the company recently reached a global settlement with Redflex Traffic Systems.
This resolution of Federal Court proceedings involved a payment of AU$16 million to VM Consolidated, comprising AU$6 million cash and 6,136,475 new Acusensus shares.
Acusensus Expands WA Contract
Acusensus has secured a significant expansion of its WA enforcement contract, adding six trailer units and extending the term to October 2028, which is expected to generate approximately $13 million in incremental revenue.
This contract win builds on the company's recent equity raising and debt facility, aimed at funding growth and international expansion, while also noting the resolution of its litigation with Redflex.
"This variation underscores the effectiveness of our unique multi-function trailer platform to change driver behaviours, which allows for various types of life-saving enforcement to be combined into a single solution," managing director Alexander Jannink said.
"By increasing the fleet and extending our partnership for these services through to the end of October 2028, we can further support the WA Road Safety Commission in enhancing road safety outcomes and reducing casualties across both metropolitan and regional areas.”
