Acusensus Awarded Master Agreement for Real-Time Speed Enforcement Program in Kentucky

Acusensus (ASX: ACE) has been awarded a master agreement by the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) in the US to supply a real-time speed enforcement program at highway work zones across the state.

Under the terms, Acusensus will supply KYTC with a fleet of mobile enforcement cameras with trailers that can operate in enforcement and data-collection modes, relaying traffic violations to a downstream peace officer in real time.

Acusensus will retain ownership of the camera assets and will be responsible for their deployment and maintenance.

KYTC is expected to place a first-year order of approximately US$2.1 million for a corresponding fleet of trailers, some of which are readily available in Kentucky and the remainder of which will be delivered early next year.

Acusensus confirmed the total contract value could reach up to US$20 million should KYTC exercise an option to expand its fleet and extend the term.

Kentucky Pilot Program

Acusensus has operated a pilot program in Kentucky since late-2025 that commenced with a five-trailer supply for work zone speed real-time services over four months, and which has since been extended.

The work zone speed enforcement method follows a model demonstrated by the state of Arkansas, which also utilises Acusensus technology and services.

The Arkansas program was expanded earlier this year to also enforce mobile phone usage and seatbelt compliance.

The new agreement will run until July 2028 and may be extended for three further one-year periods July 2031.

Roadworker Safety Initiative

Acusensus founder and managing director Alexander Jannink said the company was pleased to be expanding its relationship with KYTC.

“Kentucky is one of three concurrent state-wide work zone programs that we service in the US, alongside Connecticut and Arkansas.”

“These programs provide a recurring revenue base and a proven delivery model which we can replicate as further states legislate.”
